MUMBAI: Chris Albrecht, the recently-appointed president and CEO of Starz, LLC, will deliver a keynote address on the opening day of the upcoming MIPTV on 12 April. The 47th MIPTV entertainment content market will take place in Cannes from 12-16 April, 2010.
Albrecht is responsible for all business, strategic, organizational, legal and financial matters and for generating growth and new business opportunities for Starz Entertainment, Starz Media Anchor Bay Entertainment, Films Roman and Overture Films. During his keynote, he will talk about the new ways of looking at original programming today.

Albrecht joined Starz at the beginning of 2010, coming from Foresee Entertainment, which he founded in 2008. He spent more than 20 years at HBO and was chairman and CEO from 2002 to 2007. Before becoming chairman, he spent seven years as president of HBO Original Programming.
