MUMBAI: Dharma Productions marketing head Arun Nair has quit and has joined Tips as a consultant. Nair was with Dharma Productions for about two years where he worked on the marketing of films like Dostana, Wake Up Sid and Kurbaan.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Nair said, "I quit Dharma so that I could pursue more aspects of the business that I was not being exposed to at Dharma – especially distribution. At Dharma, I was looking after marketing along with the respective distributor. Tips is a distributor as well as producer. I am a consultant now associated with Tips."
At Tips, Nair is a marketing consultant and is handling the promotion of Kumar Taurani’s Prince – It’s Showtime. He has been working on the project since mid-December 2009.
Nair says, "I will weigh my options post the release of the film in April."
