Tom Hanks, Ron Howard team for Da Vinci prequel

MUMBAI: Even though the critics hated it, The Da Vinci Code was a blockbuster hit, raking in a staggering £388 million in ticket sales worldwide. Sheeraz Hasan Founder of www.Hollywood.tv reports that actor Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard are close to closing a deal of making a prequel titled Angels & Demons.

Based on another best selling thriller by Dan Brown, the new film will be written by Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the original film from Brown’s bestseller. This time around, Angels & Demons will again feature Tom Hank’s character Robert Langdon once again battling the Illuminati and the Vatican.

Sony Pictures has scheduled shooting to start in early January of next year.
