Mumbai: Warner Home Video (WHV) has brought the fifth season of One Tree Hill to DVD from 26 August. One Tree Hill: The Complete Fifth Season will feature all 18 episodes from the series’ fifth season on five discs, as well as three hours of special features and a bonus offer for a digital copy of the entire season. This set will retail for $59.98.
Season five brings many changes to Tree Hill. Viewers last saw the show’s young cast graduating from high school at the close of season four. Now, the series leaps forward four years and returns to Tree Hill post-college with exciting changes.
Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) is a best-selling author dating his editor. Peyton (Hilarie Burton) is an unhappy assistant at a record label in LA. Brooke (Sophia Bush) is the owner of a successful clothing line, but finds that money can’t make her happy. Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Nathan (James Lafferty) are in a strained marriage after Nathan was in an accident that left him temporarily paralyzed.
Viewers will find some of the characters very familiar while others have radically changed. Some relationships become stronger; others fall apart. While powerful, character-driven stories send the show soaring ahead; even the newest of viewers will find themselves easily wrapped up in the drama as the show weaves in and out of the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years and tying them to the present. Kevin Federline guest stars this season as Jason, an arrogant, wannabe rock star.
Created by Mark Schwahn, the series is from Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
"As the characters mature along with the show’s audience, One Tree Hill continues to be popular with teens and young adults," commented WHV vice president Rosemary Markson.
