Warner Bros’ Inception tops box office for third weekend

MUMBAI: Warner Bros’ Inception, which is directed by Christopher Nolan, continues its successful run at the box office.

The movie has come out top at the box office for the third consecutive weekend, with revenues of $27.52 million. The movie has so far collected $193.34 million across North America.

Paramount’s Dinner For Schmucks made its box office debut at the second spot with collections of $23.3 million. The movie was released across 2,911 locations.

At third spot was Sony Pictures’ latest action flick Salt starring Angelina Jolie. The movie collected $19.25 million in its second weekend at the box office. The total revenues of Salt stand at $70.81 million.

Universal’s Despicable Me, at the fourth spot, saw collections of $15.54 million over the last weekend. The movie has so far collected $190.35 million at the box office.

Yet another Warner Bros’ movie – Cats & Dogs: Revenge Of Kitty Galore made its debut at the box office. The movie opened with collections of $12.52 million over the weekend and was at the fifth spot.

Universal’s new flick Charlie St. Cloud opened at the sixth spot with collections of $12.13 million.

Walt Disney’s Toy Story 3 continues to be in the Top 10 list and was at number seven with revenues of $5.04 million over this weekend. Toy Story 3 cumulative box office revenue stands at $389.67 million.

At the eighth, ninth and tenth spot were Grown Ups (weekend: $4.5 million, total: $150.71 million), The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (weekend: $4.32 million, total: $51.88 million) and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (weekend: $3.97 million, total: $288.15 million) respectively.
