MUMBAI: Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has signed a multi-year output deal with Russian broadcaster TNT, which includes free TV rights to movies and television series.
The movies include Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Sherlock Holmes, whereas the television include ABC’s alien invasion series V and The Vampire Diaries along with upcoming shows from the 2010-11 season and an animation block. The deal also includes library movies and shows.
WBITV president Jeffrey R. Schlesinger said, “TNT’s younger-skewing audience profile is a great fit for our TV shows and movies, and we look forward to a long and successful association.”
TNT Broadcasting Network CEO Roman Petrenko added, “Combined with our top-rated original TV programs, the deal will create a strong foundation for the future growth of TNT Broadcasting Network’s market share."
