Warner Interactive Entertainment appoints Fryer as GM Seattle Studios

MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has appointed Laura Fryer as general manager, Seattle Studios.

Fryer will be overseeing the company’s internal development studios based in Seattle and will report to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment senior vice president, development and production Samantha Ryan.

Fryer is responsible for leading the Seattle based development studios Monolith Productions, creators of the highly-anticipated FEAR 2: Project Origin which launched this month, and Snowblind Studios. In her new role, Fryer will help set strategic direction for the Seattle studios’ game franchises as they innovate and advance the business as a part of the company’s overall gaming objectives.

"Laura’s extensive career demonstrates her great understanding of the process and her ability to innovatively grow our development studios. Utilizing her expertise to direct our Seattle studios in several key areas, we are looking forward to developing quality games under her leadership in the most efficient ways," Ryan said.

Prior to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Fryer held the position of executive producer for Microsoft Games Studios, and was responsible for shipping great games for the Xbox and Windows platforms.
