MUMBAI: Kaushik Roy’s forthcoming film Apna Asmaan showcased the title song of the film at Mumbai’s N.M College Umang 2007, organized by Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. The evening witnessed the music director – Lesle Lewis, director – Kaushik Roy, co-producer Umang Pahwa and debutant child actor Dhruv Panjuani. The event was hosted by Mirchi’s RJ Jeeturaaj.
Says Leslie, “I am very passionate about the music of Apna Asmaan because it is my story too. My father also wanted me to be an Engineer, but it was my mother who encouraged me to play my guitar. And today, I have been able to touch my own sky and make my parents proud.”
Following the song release, the event also witnessed the team of Apna Asmaan taking part as the judge of crowning the Mr. & Ms. Umang festival of the year.
About the event, Kaushik Roy said, “How appropriate that we should be unveiling our music on this Day – ‘Apna Asmaan’ is all about Freedom. It is the freedom to find your own sky where you can show your true colours, rather than being pushed into doing something which you don’t like or are not capable of doing.
