MUMBAI: Composer Pritam all set to rock with a rock band for UTV’s upcoming film Metro. Pritam for the first time will be acting and performing in a film.
He will part of four member rock band, that will be an integral part of the film narrative. He is currently on the lookout for two other band members, for which he has busy auditioning from last one week. The four member band along with Pritam will have singer James the fervent vocalist from Bangladesh who was the lead vocalist in the film Gangster from the famous – “Bhege Bhege Se” – track.
The criteria for selection is well defined, people with intense obsession for music of any kind, who can identify the melody in the waves of the ocean, enthusiast who cant help but head bang listening to a Jimmy Hendrix or tap their feet listening to an old dhun at the nearest tea stall.
UTV’s Metro directed by Anurag Basu is slated to release in 2007. It stars Shilpa Shetty, Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Kangna Ranaut.
