MUMBAI: Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh recorded a song for Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Jail with music director duo Sharib-Toshi at Krishna Studio in Mumbai.

The song is titled Saiyan Ve (Rock Version) and the lyrics are by Sharib-Toshi. Neil is playing the lead in the film along with Mugda Godhse. The film is being co-produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and Percept Picture Company. Jail will release on 6 November.

Bhandarkar said, "I am very happy and I know Neil’s singing would only add more feathers to cap. The original version of Saiyan Ve is sung by Toshi and this rock version will now have the actor as well along with Sharib in it. I hope that the audience will like this amalgamation."

Neil added, "I love singing and also by the Grace of God, I have a milieu of singing. So when I was offered this song I couldn’t refuse to go along with it. I am super excited and hope that people love this song. Sharib-Toshi have given amazing music and lyrics which is another USP of the song. Bonding with the duo was so much fun and I really had quite a nice time singing this rock version."

The film also casts Manoj Bajpai in pivotal role.

Sharib-Toshi added, "We are really glad that Neil himself will lend his voice to our song in the film. We feel that the lyrics of the song are very contagious and the feel of the song would capture the masses. Neil was a pleasure to work with as a singer. Definitely music and singing is in his genes, but it is also his hard work that his notes are so appropriate. We would love to thank Madhur Sir for giving us such a wonderful opportunity and making us part of his film. We have done three songs for the film and hope that all of them will be appreciated by the audience."
