MUMBAI: Danny Boyle’s award winning film Slumdog Millionaire and the song Jai Ho from the film have been nominated for the Grammy Awards. 

While the movie is nominated in the best compilation soundtrack album for motion picture and TV category, Jai Ho is nominated in the best song written for motion picture and TV category.

Slumdog Millionaire  has been nominated along with Cadillac Records, Inglourious Basterds, True Blood and Twilight and the other nominations along with Jai Ho are The Climb" from Hannah Montana: The Movie, Decode from Twilight, Once in a Lifetime from Cadillac Records by Beyonce, and The Wrestler from The Wrestler by Bruce Springsteen.

Jai Ho is penned by Gulzar and composed by AR Rahman.
