[tps_footer]Actor Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil who was an integral part of the Malayalam language film fraternity breathed his last this morning in Kochi, Kerala. The actor had been battling cancer for almost two long years. Alingkil had been detected with cancer roughly around two years ago. However, he had been completely cured of the life-threatening disease. However, fate had other plans and the actor had an unfortunate relapse episode last year. Jishnu had first appeared onscreen as a child artist in the movie Kilipatt in 1987 where he was adored by audiences and critics. He then went on to make his film debut in Nammal.

On March 8, Jishnu wrote a heartfelt and inspirational message on his personal Facebook page. This piece of writing starkly brought out his enthusiasm about life, gratitude and most importantly, it showcased his passion for living. His attitude despite his daily battle with the monster of a disease that is cancer was certainly heartwarming.

“Being positive and always smiling makes a lot of difference. I’m in ICU now; nothing to worry this is kind of my second home now. I have fun here. I started smiling at every situation now especially the nurses who take care of me. Trust me it made a lot of difference. They do a tough job of treating pain and in I C U things r worse but by smiling and being jovial creates such a good atmosphere that everything just gets better, it’s magic… smile is magic…try it,”
