[tps_footer]Actress Archana Kavi and comedian Abish Mathew recently got engaged in a close family function on November 1st, 2015. Apparently the duo is set to get married in early 2016, and the same is said to be an arrange marriage. The engagement was a low-key affair with only close family and friends in attendance. Archana who has appeared in many Malayalam movies is a fresh face in the industry, while Abish Mathew is famous for his stand up comedy and shot to stardom with AIB’s controversial show AIB Knockout.
Abish and Archana are childhood friends and their families are close since a long time now. Apparently actress Archana Kavi was not sure about marrying Abish at first, but later decided it is better to marry a friend than a stranger. Both the families came forward to make the decision for the lovely couple who are now happily looking forward to their future. Archana has revealed that she might take a break from movies, as she is not keen about increasing the number of movies she has done.

Archana Kavi made her debut in Malayalam industry with the film ‘Neelathaamara’ starring Amala Paul, Rima Kallingal and Samvrutha Sunil in pivotal roles. She has acted in several films including ‘Honey Bee’, ‘Backbench Student’, ‘Mummy & Me’, ‘Pottam Pole’, ‘Salt N’ Pepper’ among others. Her latest movie was ‘Mazhavillinattam Vare’ that released in May 2015. Archana Kavi believes she has the potential to do many other things than acting, and hence will be considering taking a break from the same after marriage.
Abish Mathew on the other hand has become one of the most popular comedians in India. He started his career as a Radio Jockey and has went on to become a huge YouTube star with his channel ‘Son Of Abish’. His work with All India Bakchod is also commendable, but the recent Knockout controversy proved to be harmful for the group. They have bounced back nonetheless with their new show On Air With AIB, but Abish Mathew is not a part of it.
