The upcoming Tamil fantasy drama film Puli, starring superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Shruti Haasan will not be releasing on September 17, as it was slated to. But due to delay in Puli’s release, it will now hit the theatres on October 1.
The news has been confirmed by the makers of Puli, as the film’s production house took to their official Twitter account and tweeted about the matter. The production house confirmed the delay news of Puli’s release by tweeting, “1st OCTOBER,2015″ #Puli in Theatres.”
The delay in film’s release was caused by pending VFX work. Delay in computer graphics work has caused the film two week delay. Reportedly, Puli’s makers did their best to release the film on time and finish with the work according to the schedule, but the VFX work still required more time than it was anticipated. Finally, the makers had no choice but to push film’s release date further.
Puli, which is written and directed by Chimbu Deven, also stars Sridevi, Hansika Motwani and Sudeep in pivotal roles. Puli’s team is working really hard to catch up on the schedule and not cause the film any further delay. The fantasy drama Tamil film will be released in Telugu and Hindi version as well.
The film’s first trailer released few days back and created a huge trend all over the internet. So far, the trailer has been viewed more than 4 million times on YouTube.
