Revealed: Kaan’s First Look Stars Simbu In Devotional Avatar

Selvaraghavan’s next film Kaan starring actor Simbu has created a wave of anticipation among Selva and Simbu fans who have been eagerly waiting to get more details about the film. The official first look poster of the film was posted online on micro-blogging site Twitter by director Selvaraghavan himself. The poster sees actor Simbu in a devotional avatar sporting ash on his forehead as done in Hindu rituals. Simbu can be seen joining his hands and the background of the poster shows off the rich Hindu temple of South India.

Kaan which means forest and its surrounding areas will see actors Simbu, Taapsee Pannu and Catherine Treasa essaying the lead roles. Where Simbu is said to be playing the role of a don in the film, Baby actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to don khaki for the first time in her film. Most parts of the film will be shot in forest areas and the first look definitely adds a dramatic effect to Simbu’s character. Simbu-Selva fans have appreciated the first look with warm embrace and have already set a trend on social media.

To thank the enthusiastic fans actor Simbu took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Super happy with the response #KAANFirstLook …Special thanks to fans for the love and support .Neenga illama naan illa #blessed” The romantic thriller film is being produced by Selva’s wife Gitanjali and Siddharth Rao under Glo Studios. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring Kaan’s music. Madras actress Catherine was roped in for the film after actress Trisha Krishnan walked out of the film due to date issues.

Director Selvaraghavan who is actor Dhanush’s brother has give hits like Irandam Ulagam Mayakkam Enna, Aayirathil Oruvan, Pudhupettai, 7G Rainbow Colony,Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule and Thulluvadho Ilamai among others. All the actors of Kaan, Simbu, Taapsee and Catherine are working with Selva for the first time and the excitement is visible from the response the first look is receiving.
