Mani Ratnam’s fastest grossing movie with estimated 13 crore collection for this week O Kadhal Kanmani, popularly known as OK Kanmani in Tamil has lead to tragedy in someone’s life. Buzz was that a man killed himself to watch Mani Ratnam’s movie.
It was shocking to hear that a man identified as J Jaisankar, committed suicide as his girlfriend refused to watch Mani Ratnam’s ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ with him which has become a major hit.
Reportedly, man identified as J Jaisankar, who is the sales executive in Coimbatore was drunk when he called up his girlfriend to watch the movie who also works in the same city. The girl refused to watch the movie, that lead him to take such a step. Jaisankar also allegedly threatened to commit suicide.
After few hours, when the girl went to his place, she found his body hanging from the ceiling fan. Well, suicide just because his girlfriend rejected to watch the movie? Sounds shocking!
OK Kanmani has grossed an Rs 6.30 crore in its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu alone and has been declared a hit by trade analysts. It has performed well in the overseas market too. The film has made it to the list of top ten Tamil opening week hits of all times.
