Much like the film’s official poster and every other detail, the trailer has also managed to go viral and start trending over social media. While the film has lot of similarities between Dhanush starrer ‘VIP’, ‘Thangamagan’ offers fresh pairing of Dhanush and Amy, as well as Dhanush and Samantha, both of which are absolutely lovable!

The trailer begins with the love story between Dhanush and Amy where the former is madly in love with the latter. Soon after following around like a love struck puppy, Dhanush who plays the role of Tamizh in the film manages to win Amy over. However that was in the flashback and with no clue whatsoever the scene cuts to the present time where Dhanush gets married to Samantha. Their equation of a husband and wife is too very cute to see where we hear Samantha dubbing her own dialogues.
By now Dhanush has mastered playing roles like these where he love struck at first and later goes on to become the simple man who can beat the crap out of a bunch of goons. Fans are of an opinion that compared to VIP, ‘Thangamagan’ lacks originality and hence might not be as successful as the former in terms of box office performance. However looking at the trailer one thing is sure, audiences are in for a treat watching the chemistry between the three lead stars of the film.

Amy Jackson is slowly catching up with the Tamil industry after appearing in ‘I’ with Vikram and now ‘Thangamagan’ with Dhanush. She will next be seen in ‘Enthiran 2’ starring Rajinikanth.
