[tps_footer]Queen is Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming venture, starring Kangna Ranaut and Rajkumar Yadav. The latest song, London Thumakda is all about Rani’s Big Fat Indian Wedding.
The look and feel of the song is very real; something that one can immediately comment with and also reminds you of Monsoon Wedding. You get to hear the old Punjabi folk songs like Latthe Di Chadar, in the song, something that’s a must at every Punjabi wedding.
The look and feel is very real and Kangna is looking the part. She is seen wearing a very simple outfit hardly has any make-up and is wearing a cardigan (sweater) in the song, which is so typically Delhi.
Well another unique factor about this film is the fact that Anurag Kashyap has turned composer along with guest composer Rupesh Kumar.
It so happened that a few months ago, Anurag stumbled upon the work of a young composer in Shimla and wanted to use one of his compositions for Queen. He discussed the same with Rupesh, worked upon the song with him and when it was ready presented it to Amit Trivedi, the song composer for the film and director, Vikas Bahl. Both Vikas and Amit liked Rupesh’s work and eventually decided to include it in the official soundtrack.
Kangna on the other hand is very upbeat about Queen. She said, “I won’t say that I did not expect good comments from it (trailer). I know the film is good. Before the trailer was cut, they had shown it to many people. I was getting good response from the film industry including top actors who messaged me. I wasn’t expecting it (good response) as it is an unusual film without big heroes. I am glad that it is getting attention.”
Queen is all set to hit the silver screen on February 28, 2014.
