Today, December 1, 2013 marks the end of the seventh season of Amitabh Bachchan‘s Kaun Banega Crorepati. The last episode was shot on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 amidst mixed emotions.
Amitabh Bachchan, said that it was an experience full of fun and thrills mixed with emotional yet exhilarating moments.
Mr. Bachchan wrote on Twitter, “Another day at KBC, the last for this season, but hope it fills again by the (next) year (and) fun becomes at KBC. Without the inputs from the extended family, nothing would have moved. Thank you and lastly and most importantly, please, please do not miss the last finale episode of KBC. It’s on Dec 01.”
The finale will have the superstar making his way in a double role; as a host and as an common man. Dressed in a dhoti-kurta, with a gamcha tied on his head and sporting cool sunglasses, Big B the host will then introduce everyone to Lallan Bhaiyya who was there to experience the hot seat.
The highlight of this season was Feroz Fatima, a twenty year old girl from a village near Saharanpur, UP, who went on to become the first woman to win a crore on the seventh season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The science graduate aspires to excel in Civil Services, and wants to use the money to secure her future. The young girl comes from a conservative Muslim family and wants to use a part of the winning amount to repay the loan of twelve lacs that she had taken for her father’s medical treatment.
“Our family consists of three women – me, my sister and my mother. The villagers considered us weak and for some time, we lost our voice. It is hard to believe how the outlook of people changes in no time. Till now, everyone in my village was looking for a chance to seize our land and tried to intimidate us. Now that I have won one crore, they have started referring to me as ‘madam’…”, said a very emotional as well as elated Feroz.
Celebrities like Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Ranveer Singh and others made an appearance during this season.
This season of Kaun Banega Crorepati failed to capture eyeballs but never the less, we would like to salute Amitabh Bachchan for being a warm, enduring and a great host.
