An elated Nagarjuna said, ” Every person have their dreams and we are starting this program to make them realize theam. I’ve been thinking of hosting a TV program for a long while, but I choose to host his program out of social responsibility. Everyone, who participates and watches this program will be educated and that it is what we needed. We are looking forward for the start of this program. It is not easy to host a show like this and I’ve been practising a lot for it. Now the people are able to find anything because of Google. But in 80’s and 90’s if anyone wants to know about anything, they used to watch Siddhartha Basu’s quiz shows. Siddhartha Basu is the father of quiz shows in India and we are happy to be associated with him now”.
The show will be similar along the lines of original Kaun Banega Crorepati, with a cash prize of Rs.1 crore.
“Nagarjuna will host the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He was selected amongst 38 popular names that were considered to host the show. After rigorous selection process, we have zeroed in on Nagarjuna who we think will do complete justice to the show,” Nimagada Prasad, Chairman, Maa TV said.
The call for entries for the programme will commence on April 24, 2014 wherein participants throughout the state can register themselves to take part in the game show by answering questions through text messages on their mobile phones.
The show is being produced by Big Synergy and on the occasion of the launch Siddhartha Basu stated ” We are happy to bring the first international format program in Telugu to the viewers. We need a very elaborate team to conduct the various stages of the program. We are very excited to work with Maa TV and they have been co-operating very well with us. Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu is not another quiz show that comes in television. Nagarjuna is the most apt host for this show and he is really amazing. He has done a lot of research and practice for this program. We are very excited to work with him “.
