The actor who rose to fame with this long running serial has already carved a huge fan following. Karan has become the most well-known face of the television industry. The actor’s pairing with Hina Khan aka Akshara is regarded as the most adorable one.
The reports of Karan quitting the serial were making rounds since a long time. The boy next door however, never opened up about the same. It was much in the air that Mehra would quit the serial once the leap is in place. Finally, the generation leap has taken place and Karan Mehra is officially leaving the show.
Leaving all the fans in an emotional mode, Karan recorded a message for all and posted the same on the social networking site Facebook. The actor thanked his fans and also remembered his early days in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
The serial will now see Naitik being kidnapped by his brother Naman. Karan has already shot the last scene for the serial and now will no longer be a part of this show.
The exact reason as to why Karan Mehra is leaving the serial is not known but it is said that the actor is facing many health issues and the doctors have advised him complete rest.
