MUMBAI: Wide Frame Pictures’has released the trailer of ‘Aatma’ starring Bipasha Basu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, written and directed by Suparn Verma, ‘Aatma’ is a psychological thriller.
The trailer shows Bipasha Basu in the role of a single mother who is haunted by the ghost of her dead abusive husband played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Her daughter, it seems is repeatedly possessed into killing herself by the ghost.
Bipasha who has been widely acclaimed for her performances in the horror genre after ‘Raaz’, ‘Raaz 3’ and ‘Rakht’, looks quite promising in the promo of ‘Aatma’.
After his sublime performances in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Talaash’, fans can also look out for Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is unfortunately not flaunted too much in this first look promo. The cute six year old Doyle Dhawan, Shernaz Patel and Darshan Jariwala play pivotal roles.
Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur bring the fear to the audience with their music.
At the launch event of ‘Aatma’, Bipasha Basu joked, “I have become the face of fear. I don`t mind being a trend setter. Horror is a genre of entertainment and if it has the producers and the audience, then why not….I feel that horror is at the nascent stage at the moment. We can do so many different things with horror as a genre.”
‘Aatma’ will hit the screens on March 22, 2013.
