[tps_footer]Fresh, Mesmerising and Power Packed; that’s what Showman Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi is all about.
After a long gap of about five years, Subhash Ghai is back with yet another MAGNUM OPUS. While the poster left you mesmerised, the trailer of Kaanchi immediately attracted your attention.
Subhash Ghai is back with Kaanchi, introducing a fresh face, Indrani Chakraborty (Mishti), to the industry in a trailer that gives a very clear glimpse of what’s in store.
In the trailer one can see Kaanchi’s histrionics, as she is out there to fight the system all by herself. She is innocent, charming and has a lot of substance. Her look in the film reminds you of Tina Munim in Karz, especially the black coloured scarf wrapped around her head and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Taal.
The other actor you just cannot miss in the trailer is Rishi Kapoor, who slips into the antagonistic role with great ease. Rishi Kapoor is effortlessly menacing and of what one has seen of him in the trailer, he would definitely be the highlight of Kaanchi.
However the only thing that lets you down is the man opposite Kaanchi and that’s Kartik Tiwari. Kartik Tiwari who made his debut in the year 2011 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and followed it up with a disastrous Akaash Vani in 2013 looks completely miscast. His persona does not match the leading lady he is romancing.
Kaanchi also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha essaying pivotal roles.
TAKE A LOOK AT THE TRAILER:
“I make a film only when the subject touches my heart. Every time I deliver a flop, the media says my career is over. When Krodhi, Kisna released they said the same thing but I bounced back every single time. Everyone goes through ups and downs. There is a difference between a film that doesn’t work and a bad film,” stated the director at the trailer launch.
All said and done, Kaanchi looks like a very typical Subhash Ghai kind of a film. Looks like, Showman Subhash Ghai is back with a bang.
The film is slated for an April 25, 2014 release.
