Aamir Khan has a way of making people his fan. Audience anyway respects his quirk of selecting unusual films like Taare Zameen Par. They laud him for his attempt of opening our eyes about the many perils in the society with his show Satyamev Jayate. But it seems, the actor isn’t too secure about his position in the industry and often takes Shah Rukh Khan’s help to promote his own film. Let us tell you how.
In 2008, Rab Ne Bana di Jodi was still getting screened at the theatres, Aamir used his marketing brain and made the ushers of the theatre get the Ghajini cut. His action bonanza was slated to release within a few days of Rab Ne… Many criticized his move of basking in reflected glory while other lauded his unique skills of using Shah Rukh’s film for his own gain.
He again did the same recently during the trailer launch of Happy New Year. A day before the event was scheduled, Aamir released the first nude poster of PK, trying to snatch away Happy New Year’s glory. But it seems two Khan‘s can easily co-exist in creating a grand hoopla. Aamir’s efforts couldn’t dilute Shah Rukh Khan’s grandness while it created a storm.
The day after the music launch HNY, Aamir released the second poster of PK, probably trying to cash in on the SRK frenzy. Now he has decided to release the theatrical trailer of PK the day HNY hits the theatres, i.e. October 24.
We wonder if Aamir is insecure about Shah Rukh Khan.
