Adlabs to screen World Cup matches live

MUMBAI: Adlabs multiplexes will screen important India matches as well as the semi-finals and finals of the ongoing World Cup cricket series on 70 mm screens at Adlabs Imax, R Adlabs, Adlabs Huma and Metro Adlabs.

Matches that would be screened ahead of semifinals and finals are the India vs Sri Lanka tie on 23 March 2007, India vs Australia match on 31 March 2007, India vs New Zealand tie on 2 April 2007 and the India vs Pakistan match on 15 April 2007. All screenings  begin at 8 pm.

Cheerleaders, dholki walas, an umpire, food, beer, popcorn, tattoo artistes, whistles, posters and flags will provide the right ambience to the screenings, says an Adlabs release.

“We have done this before with great success, so it is also about giving our viewers what they want. Bringing the small screen to our big one is an initiative we are taking very seriously as part of our programming,” says Adlabs Cinemas COO Tushar Dhingra.
