MUMBAI: Amitabh Bachchan will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at the 6th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), which will take place in Dubai from 9 to 16 December, 2009.
Two of Bachchan’s films Silsila and Black, have been invited to participate in the festival in the Out of Competition DIFF programme as part of the tribute to the actor.
Directed by Yash Chopra, Silsila starred Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha, Sanjeev Kumar and Sashi Kapoor while Black was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starred Amitabh and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles.
