Arjun Rampal dismisses back aches; says he’s fit

MUMBAI: Actors with toned bodies and hurting backs are a common phenomenon in Bollywood. In the quest to maintain that perfect body, actors have to work long hours in the gym lifting that extra pound to get the bulging biceps and triceps and in the process, strain their muscles. Arjun Rampal has been a victim of such a sprain, but now has completely recovered from it.

The actor says, “My back is fine. Rumors keep flying about such things. I did have a nerve problem in my lower back, but that was over a year ago. I have taken therapy and I am fit.”

Stories about the actor not getting the villain’s role in Shah Rukh Khan’s home production Ra. One, being directed by Anubhav Sinha, had made headlines and news was that the role was going to be offered to Vivek Oberoi. But all these stories were apparently untrue.

Arjun said, “I shot for Rajneeti in extreme conditions. If you have a back injury there is no way you can step out of your bed.” The actor is currently dubbing for Rajneeti and at the same time helping wife, Meher out in her daily IPL fashion shows and parties that are being organized post the IPL matches across the country.
