HBO lines up movie bonanza in the New Year

Mumbai: HBO has lined up a whole lot of new movies this New Year. The channel will premiere Ocean’s Thirteen on HBO Blockbuster of the Month along with movies like Mission Impossible Special, Animals in Control and Fall Flight.

HBO See It First will telecast four movie premieres every Saturday night. The line up includes comedy movie The Heartbreak Kid starring Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman on 10th January and action adventure Smokin’ Aces starring Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds, Jeremy Piven and Alicia Keys on 17th January. Matthew Mcconaughey, Matthew Fox, Anthony Mackie and David Strathairn starrer We Are Marshall premieres on 24th January. Comedy movie License to Wed starring Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, John Krasinski and Eric Christian Olsen premieres on 31st January.

For all movie aficionados, HBO brings the ultimate thrill and excitement with the Indian television premiere of Ocean’s Thirteen on 30th January, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia who team up yet again with director Steven Soderbergh for another split-second caper.  

HBO Sunday Super Hits, every Sunday night at 9pm will showcase a host of smashing hits. Comedy movie Police Academy: Mission to Moscow starring George Gaynes, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani and Michael Winslow will air on 11th January. Watch suspense thriller Disturbia starring Shia Labeouf, David Morse, Carrie-Anne Moss and Sarah Roemer on 18th January followed by action adventure and David Duchovny, Julianne Moore and Seann William Scott starrer Evolution on 25th January.

Then there is Mission Impossible Special on 26th January.  Viewers can tune into the most renowned movie Mission Impossible at 9:00pm and Mission Impossible 2 at 11:15pm.

Every Wednesday night at 9:00pm, there will be a line up of funny flicks featuring animals on screen – Cats and Dogs on 7th January followed by Happy Feet on 14th January, Stuart Little on 21st January and Charlotte’s Web on 28th January.

Action film lovers can watch action movies every Tuesday night at 9:00pm on HBO Fall Flight where some of the biggest Hollywood action movies will be aired like Aeonflux on 6th January, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider on 13th January and The Peacemaker on 20th January. HBO further adds zing to the movies bonanza with the action comedy movie Miss Congeniality on 27th January.

HBO movie mania continues with HBO Friday Blockbusters every Friday night at 9:00pm. The Friday blockbusters begin on an action adventure note with Twister starring Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt, Cary Elwes and Jami Gertz on 9th January followed by Small Soldiers starring Gregory Smith, Kirsten Dunst, David Cross and Denis Leary on 16th January. Do tune into Shrek the Third on 23rd January featuring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas.
