HBO lines up slate of movies for September

Mumbai: HBO has lined up a slew of premiers in September. The channel will premiere the super hit comedy Surf’s Up, an animated comedy featuring the voices of Shia Labeouf, Jeff Bridges, Jon Heder, Zooey Deschanel, on HBO Blockbuster of the Month on 26 September at 9 pm.

Every Saturday at 9 pm, HBO See It First, will air a collection of movies premiering for the first time on Indian television. The line up includes Music & Lyrics, a romantic melody starring Hugh Grant, Dew Barrymore, Brad Garrett and Kristen Johnston on 6 September followed by a horror thriller Vacancy starring Luke Wilson, Kate Beckinsale, Frank Whaley and Ethan Embry on 13 September.

Connor’s War starring Anthony "Treach" Criss and Nia Peeples will take all action lovers for a ride on 20 September followed by the premiere of suspense thriller Disturbia starring Shia Labeouf, David Morse, Carrie-Anne Moss and Sarah Roemer on 27 September.

Comedy flick Nacho Libre starring Jack Black, Ana De La Reguera, Hector Jimenez and Richard Montoya will be showcased on 7 September and action adventure Rush Hour 2 starring Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Zhang Zi Yi and John Lone will be aired on 14 September. This is followed by a romantic movie Failure to Launch starring Matthew Mcconaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zooey Deschanel and Justin Bartha on 21 September. Will Ferrell, John Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen and Gary Cole starrer Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby will be aired on 28 September.

HBO Friday Blockbusters will be aired every Friday night at 9 pm. Movies like The Peacemaker starring Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Holt Mccallany will be aired on 5 September; Blade: Trinity starring Wesley Snipes, Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds, Kris Kristofferson will air on 12 September and suspense thriller Perfect Stranger starring Halle Berry, Bruce Willis, Giovanni Ribisi and Gary Dourdan will air on 19 September.

HBO Original Movies will be aired on Tuesdays at 9 pm. Life Support starring Queen Latifah, Anna Deavere Smith and Ravelle Parker will be aired on 9 September. Drama flick Angel Rodriguez starring Rachel Griffiths and Jonan Everett will be showcased on 16 September, followed by Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominated Bury My Heart On Wounded Knee starring Aidan Quinn, Adam Beach, August Schellenberg and Anna Paquin on 2 September.

Some of the other movies that will be aired in September are Rumour Has It, Dreamgirls, Head Over Heels and Excess Baggage on HBO Teen Zone every Saturday at 12 noon.

HBO Late Night Chills every Tuesday to Friday after the 9 pm movie will have movies like Return to Paradise, Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America, Inside Man, Bait, Single White Female, Glass House: The Good Mother, Mobsters amongst others.
