MUMBAI: Don managed to outrace Jaan-E-Mann at the box-office windows. In its first week, Don managed an average of 85 per cent collections at the domestic box-office.

This week there were no regular releases. Loha – Iron Man, an action movie dubbed from Telugu, was released in Bombay with 10 prints by F.F. International. Earlier the film was supposed to be released by Tilak Enterprises. The other Bhojpuri film Piya Tose Nainna Lage released in Bihar and Jharkhand. The film will be released in U.P. and Delhi on November 3 and in Bombay on November 10.
Vinay Choksey of V.I.P. Enterprises (Bharat Shah’s office) releasing S. Raamanathan’s Zamaanat have rescheduled it from November 3 to 17.
Bhojpuri film Ganga starring Amitabh Bachchan – Hema Malini proved a winner inspite of stiff oppositions in its first week. It registered 80 per cent collections in Bombay from 7 cinemas by collecting Rs. 19,03,942. Thane collected Rs. 13,70,199 from 6 prints. Allahabad collected Rs. 40,000 from one print in 5 days (55%).
Another Bhojpuri film Balma 420 in its first week in Bombay collected Rs. 9,54,181 from 4 cinemas (78%).
English film Open Season in its first week collected Rs. 12,72,912 from 15 cinemas in Bombay. Thane Rs. 21,788 from 2 cinemas (21 shows).
