Jimmy to release in October with 700 prints

MUMBAI: Raj Sippy directed film Jimmy, which launches Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh Chakraborty, is set to release in October this year with more than 700 prints. It’s learnt that Mithun is leaving no stones unturned to ensure a big bang release of the film.

Nawman Malik, whose production house, High Definition Films, is producing the film says, “Our plan is to release the film around the festival season to make sure that it gets a good opening. Moreover, the film is the launch pad for yesteryears superstar Mithun Chakraborty’s son, so it’s an added factor to make the release date a promising occasion.”

Currently, Jimmy’s promos are being shown before David Dhawan’s Partner, thus making sure that the film receives maximum publicity before its release. Adds, Malik, “Since Partner is doing well across all territories, its surely good news for our film’s publicity too. We plan to roll out a full fledged publicity campaign in some weeks and have already tied up with Cinemax for an event with Mimoh. We already have trailors of the film on various channels also as part of the promotional strategy.”

Jimmy, is directed by Raj Sippy, who is also making another film with Mimoh called Hamilton Palace. Incidentally Sippy had earlier directed Mithun Chakraborty too in the film Boxer. Mimoh is also doing Anjum Rizvi’s next called Fast Forward, the film also features Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman and Sadhna Singh’s daughter Sheena Shahabai.
