MUMBAI: PVR Ltd, with its chain of over 70 exhibition halls in the country, has bought the distribution rights of some territories of Excel Films’ Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd.

“We will release the film in the Delhi-UP, East Punjab and Mysore circuits. It is a romantic comedy and will be mostly a multiplex film,” says a PVR spokesperson. Excluding the digital formats, only 250 prints of HTPL are being released across the country, it is learnt.

Honeymoon Travels is about six married couples on a honeymoon package tour to Goa. The couples include Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi, Kay Kay Menon and Raima Sen, Ameesha Patel and Karan Khanna, Sandhya Mridul and Vikram Chatwal, Abhay Deol and Minissha Lamba and Ranvir Shorey and Dia Mirza. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Films, the film has been directed by Reema Kagti.
