Vinod Khanna’s son, Rahul Khanna’s Instagaram post just 3 days before his father’s death said a lot about the veteran actor’s health.
It was on Thursday morning, this week when Bollywood veteran actor Vinod Khanna breathed his last. He had been admitted in a Mumbai hospital since March 31, this year. The actor passed away on April 27 after battling bladder cancer for a long time.
On Apil 23, just 4 days before his death, his son Rahul Khanna had posted a picture on Instagram with a cryptic caption. It was a sunset view from Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital where the actor was admitted. He captioned the post, “One more sunset.”

In another post on April 21, he had shared a picture of a completely vacant pathological passageway from the same hospital.

These posts of the legendary actor’s son tell us a lot about his deteriorating health. The actor was cremated at Banganga Crematorium in Worli on Thursday evening. His contemporaries like Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranjeet were also present along with his family at the funeral.

Rishi Kapoor, who has worked with Vinod Khanna in films like Amar Akbar Anthony, had bashed the young Bollywood actors for skipping the legendary actor’s funeral and attending Priyanka Chopra’s party.
Born in a Punjabi family in Peshawar of British India (now in Pakistan), Vinod Khanna had a very successful Bollywood career. He turned into a politician as well when he joined the Bhartiya Janata party and contested elections from the Gurdaspur seat.
He was last seen in a Bollywood film in Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale in 2015.
