MUMBAI: With just one film under his belt, Sajid Khan is a picture of confidence. The director who made the successful Heyy Baby two years ago declares, “Housefull will be the biggest blockbuster of next year. That is a promise. And the film will be a huge hit primarily because people will not be content to see it just once, but at least three times.”
To start with, Khan is planning a start to finish shooting schedule from July to September and his cast is big. Talking about his casting, Khan said, “It has Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Chunky Pandey, Boman Irani. Housefull goes by its name of a houseful cast.”
Initially the director was supposed to shoot the film in bits. Khan said, “The film was supposed to be shot in May, July and September. Now I will be shooting it one schedule from July to September.”
Khan who believes in paisa vasool for his audience has also a big surprise lined up. Pushed into a response, he revealed, “There will also be a big actress doing an item song. But I am not going to reveal any names now.” Khan had got several actresses to do a similar act in his Heyy Baby, like his sister did in Om Shanti Om. But as the actresses were smaller names like Dia Mirza, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, the song was overshadowed by the star presence of stars like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Kajol, Rani Mukherji in the title song of Om Shanti Om. So this time around, Khan is keeping his cards close to his chest.
