Shahid Kapur’s Chance Pe Dance has traces from his real life

MUMBAI: Shahid Kapur's upcoming film Chance Pe Dance seems to be semi-biographical with a storyline fairly identical to his own.
The film revolves around the life of a struggler who eventually makes it big in life. The story is about a budding actor who also dances very well and wants to be in the movies. It shows the protagonist getting rejected in various auditions, not having enough money and all the ups and downs that go with it.
This is fairly similar to Kapur's own life. He has, in various interviews, revealed how he was rejected at least a 100 times before his first break in Ishq Vishk. The film also shows the protagonist having to live out of his small second hand car when he can’t afford rent. This car is similar to the second hand car that Shahid used to drive when he was shooting for his first film.
"Yes, there are many scenes in the movie that are similar to my life, but it's not intentional, they have just turned out this way," says Kapur.
Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Ken Ghosh Chance Pe Dance also stars Genelia D'Souza. The film is slated to release on 15 January 2010.
