MUMBAI: The producers of Tanuja Chandra’s Hope and a Little Sugar have just finished shooting a music video for their film with Sonu Nigam in New York.
“I have not seen the video yet but it all happened in New York. My producers, who are from New York had met Sonu during a concert and he showed keen interest in our project. Being touched by the film’s theme, he agreed to sing a number and feature in it too. It was recorded by New York based music director Wayne Sharpe. The song was sung in three languages- Hindi, Punjabi and English and was picturised by New York based Adolfo Doring, who has shot videos for artists like Sting, Bon Jovi, Santana, Dixie Chicks and Savage Garden,” says Chandra.
The movie, which is based against the backdrop of 9/11 attack, was shot in New York and also at Groung Zero. “Director Adolfo Doring was moved by the film and agreed to direct the video,” she adds.
The video will be shown at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where the film is also being featured, as well as in a concert that Sonu Nigam will be doing in Goa on 29 November.
