MUMBAI: Director V Menon is back after a brief hiatus, with a thriller film titled Andekhi.
Menon’s last film, Ishq Qayamat, starring Milind Gunaji, left no impact on the box-office, unlike his 1995 film, Rock Dancer which starred Govinda and Hollywood actor Samantha Fox. V Menon forayed into films from television where he directed serials like Tara, some episodes of Chandrakanta, India’s Most Wanted, Hero Uncle and others.
Says Menon, “Andekhi is an experimental film, a thriller that revolves around a woman who gets weird thoughts after she sees fog. It is a medium budget movie, produced by Prem Ahlawat. The film features Ehsaan Khan, Ajay Sharma, Lata Tippe, Anjana Dobson, Pramod Moutho and others. The film has already been cleared with a U/A certificate without any cuts. We are planning to release the film in February or March 2007.”
The film’s producer Prem Ahlawat says, “My company Paramsoft has been making video software and documentaries. Andekhi is our first movie venture and we are releasing the film in multiple languages.”
