MUMBAI: The stakes are only getting bigger and better for the forthcoming couture week starting from 11 October in Mumbai. If Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu have been roped in for designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Shah Rukh Khan and Imran Khan will be doing the honours for Karan Johar. Salman Khan will be doing a little more than that for his collection, Being Human… Inspite of getting close friend Aamir Khan to do the strut on a ramp, the actor we are told will be giving not just his clothes for auction to raise funds for his charity, but will also be putting himself up for auction.
Currently the actor is on a whirl wind tour to promote his latest film, Main Aur Mrs Khanna. After making visits to several Indian cities and a short trip of a day to Dubai, the actor will return to Mumbai to put himself under the hammer.
Sources close to the actor are keeping mum, but have not rubbished our questions. All they say, “Bhai will be doing something really shocking, which is so very much him. And we will be in for a great surprise.”
Auctioning himself is a great concept, certainly a first for the fashion circuit who rope in Bollywood celebrities to promote their label. Details of Salman’s auction are still being worked out, but all eyes will be on Katrina Kaif should the winner be a woman…
