Balki’s “Paa” made a lot of news when it was released. This was Vidya’s 3rd movie with Amitabh Bachchan. Vidya, played a role of a tough, loving single parent. The story is about a 13 year old kid Auro whos is suffering from a rare genetic disease called ‘Progeria’, due to which the person suffering from the disease ages 4 to 5 times faster than normal. Vidya received a lot of compliments from movie critics and audiences for her heart touching performance in the film. Her role in the film won her first ‘Filmfare Award’ for “Best Actress” in year 2009.
