MUMBAI: After Ekta Kapoor alleged Shah Rukh Khan of foul play with her film ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ receiving a mediocre response at the box-office (Read Story HERE), looks like it is now Imran Khan’s turn for some war of words. The actor has expressed his displeasure of working in future films especially ‘Milan Talkies’ to be produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.

It was reported that Imran Khan has been replaced by Shahid Kapoor in the upcoming ‘Milan Talkies’ to be directed by Tigmanshu Dhuila. (Read Story HERE). While Imran Khan supposedly cited date issues, as he is preparing for Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming vigilante film, the real reason is somewhat different.

The rift between Imran Khan and Ekta Kapoor began ever since the shooting of ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ got over and the promotions of the film began.

Imran was not quite happy with the aggressive promotional plans from Balaji and supposedly refused to co-operate. This was enough to trigger the rift, as Ekta Kapoor felt similar problems would arise if he would be cast in ‘Milan Talkies’ too. She dropped Imran Khan and Shahid Kapoor was brought on board.

A source close to Imran Khan has said, “It was Imran’s decision to part ways with Balaji as he wasn’t comfortable with the ways and has decided not to work with them again.”

CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, Tanuj Garg though refused to comment on the rift said, “Tigmanshu is one of the best directors in the industry today. Shahid expressed his desire to work with us and more importantly we feel he is the right choice for the film.”

With this reply from Tanuj Garg, Imran Khan was quick to reply back and said, “I wish Shahid the very best of luck. He’s going to need it.”

Looks like the war of words between Ekta Kapoor and Imran Khan has surely taken an ugly turn for the worse!
