Our Pandeyji was not only a hit here but also pleased people down South so much so that Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan worked in the remake of the film which earned heavily. Now he will be directing the sequel to this film.
3 Idiots
Rajkumar Hirani‘s ode to friendship also found many takers. It was remade in Tamil as Nanban and earned well at the box office.
Aashiqui 2
Sachiin Joshi bought the rights of the film from the Bhatt’s and remade the love story of a drunk erstwhile singing sensation and a budding talent in Tamil to good response.

Band Bajaa Baraat
YRF should be patted for making this regional move. Rather than selling the rights of the film to a South Indian producer, they decided to make it in Telugu called Aha Kalyanam with Vaani Kapoor and Nani. The film made decent money.
Kahaani
Vidya Balan‘s search for her missing husband reached South in the form of Anamika. Nayanthara played the lead in the film.
Delhi Belly
Imran Khan‘s adult comedy also surprisingly found many takers in the South in the form of Settai. It was an exact copy of the Hindi film.
Jab We Met
Kanden Kadhalai was the Tamil remake of Imtiaz Ali‘s Jab We Met. Tamannah and Bharath played the lead roles. The film again earned pretty heavily.
Munnabhai MBBS
Yet another gem by Rajkumar Hirani find its way down south in the form of Vasool Raja MBBS. Kamal Haasan reprised Sanjay Dutt’s character from the original.
