[tps_footer]The melodious singer Ankit Tiwari who has lend his voice to songs like Tu Hai Ke Nahi, Sun Raha Hai Na Tu, Tu Jo Hai Toh Main Hu, and more, has recently faced a rejection of his discharge plea from the Special Women’s Court as he was booked earlier for allegedly raping a woman in 2014 and he was granted a bail almost a month later. Along with Ankit Tiwari his brother Ankur was also arrested for threatening the victim and now Ankit tried to get out of this case but his application has been rejected and Special Judge A.S Shende has confirmed it during a recent interview.
In the application, Ankit tried to prove his innocence by degrading the victim and said her statement in FIR and written statements are very different, Ankit also said the victim is lying that she never consumed liquor although she was working in advertising company which is related to the entertainment world. So, what sort of a point Ankit is trying to make? If you work in an advertising company you are alcoholic? That’s lame! How does it prove if the victim was alcoholic or not? Ankit even said that the victim is lying about the video clip which Ankit had made and threatened her to make it public. According to Ankit Tiwari‘s statement, their relationship was consensual and the victim said he has raped her multiple times by promising to get married to her soon. But, Ankit didn’t keep his words and now he tall claims about his relationship with the victim.
