Bollywood actress Sridevi’s sudden death in Dubai had left the whole country in shock. Thousands of people gathered in the final rites journey of the actress after she was cremated with state honours in Mumbai’s Seva Samaj Crematorium.
After family and well-wishers gave their last respects to veteran actress Sridevi, her body was taken to the crematorium for her last rites. B-town celebs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rekha, Vidya Balan, Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira Rajput, Hema Malini and her daughter Esha Deol, Shraddha Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others arrived to pay their last respect to Bollywood’s first female superstar.
Yesterday, Sridevi’s ashes were brought to Rameswaram, Chennai by Boney Kapoor in a special aircraft. Joining him were his daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. The ashes of the actress were immersed in the holy island town.
