Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which released in China yesterday, has broken Box Office record even there.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film, Dangal released to 9000 screens in China yesterday.  China welcomed the actor producer’s latest Bollywood blockbuster Dangal yesterday with open arms in a record-breaking number of screens. The film has not only released to the big number of screens but has also managed to create wonders at the China Box Office.

Dangal has collected around Rs $2.5 million in China on its first day of the release, which is insane. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s PK had done a business of $1 million in China on its first day and had done huge business grossing $20 million. Dangal has received wider release than PK, which means that the actor has achieved huge fan following there over a couple of years. It remains to see where the collections lead in the coming days.

In a 2015 interview to IANS right after PK managed over a sixth of its Rs 600 crore ($94 million)-plus earnings from China alone, Aamir had discussed how people there had historically loved Indian films.

“I think the people of China and India seem to have a connect, which is emotional, cultural, and they are quite similar people,” the actor, whose “3 Idiots” and “Dhoom 3” also did well in China, had told IANS.

Dangal has received a wide release in China. Last week, Aamir Khan had visited China and interacted with the fans there for the film’s promotion. The film has broken many records overseas as well as in India and same response is being expected from fans in China.
