MUMBAI: Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ Khan i.e. Salman Khan took to promoting his latest film, the yet-to-be-released and much hyped ‘Dabangg 2’ to the sets of a TV serial: ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. He was accompanied by his on-screen wife and co-star Rajjo, also known as Sonakshi Sinha.

‘Dabangg 2’ has been touted as one of the most eagerly awaited cinematic outings of 2012. With the Khan triumvirate ruling the roost, as they have been for the past 20 odd years, this comes as no surprise.

Salman was very much in character, whilst paying a visit to the TV sets of ‘Diya aur Baati Hum’ (which is aired on Star Plus); clad in his ‘Chulbul Pandey’ policeman’s uniform, he stole the show by looking the most fit we have ever seen him. Sonakshi played the village belle, the damsel not at all in distress, by choosing to sport a typical Indian village lady’s yellow sari, albeit with a colourful blouse. The duo spent time on sets with TV stars, and protagonists of the serial, Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh.

Salman Khan was upto his usual ‘Dabangg 2’ style antics on sets, channeling the lovable cop Chulbul Pandey. He kept the entire unit in splits with his hilarious one-liners, which will be aired on the TV serial. He spared no one, not even Sonakshi, who he has given a superhit film with; the previous installment in the ‘Dabangg’ franchise.

Going by the videos Eros Entertainment has released, on the making of ‘Dabangg 2’, we are expecting a whole lot more fun in the sequel. And with Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan at the helm of things, we are sure to see a lot more of our favourite cop: Chulbul Pandey.

Interestingly, the Khan family is already on to ideating for ‘Dabangg 3’!

Confirms Salman himself, “We have our third film ready and it will go back and show how Chulbul Pandey becomes Chulbul Pandey. If the second one becomes a hit, we can go to the third one, which is actually the first one. So ‘Dabangg 3’ will be a prequel,” Will Sonakshi bag the third in this franchise too?

“There is a place for Sonakshi in ‘Dabangg 3’ as well. She is there, her father is there, but we don’t meet,” reveals Salman Khan.
