As soon as the makers of Dilwale revealed the release date of the film, which is December 18, rumours about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani being pushed to avoid the big clash on the big screen started to make rounds all over the internet! All the reports pointed to the same direction that the magnum opus starring Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh was pushed for the next year to avoid clash with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale at the Box Office on December 18.
But recent reports clear the fog and reveal that the period drama has not been pushed and will hit theatres on its decided release date! A source close to Bajirao Mastani director was quoted saying, “The film is being shot on a war footing, pun intended. There are many never-seen-before war scenes, dances and dramatic confrontations. But Sanjay is on schedule. In fact, he (Sanjay) didn’t even know about Shah Rukh’s plans or that there was talk of the film being postponed.”

The news was then confirmed by a spokesperson from Bajirao Mastani’s co-producers, Eros International who revealed that they are gearing up for a December 18 release and theatres are being blocked accordingly.
Not only thi,s but to make it pretty sure and shun all the rumours once and for all, the film’s trailer will be released very soon.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project, Bajirao Mastani, is based on Maratha warrior Peshwa Baji Rao, played by Ranveer Singh. The romantic saga revolves around him, his second wife Mastani and his first wife Kashibai. Priyanka plays the role of Kashibai, Bajirao’s first wife and Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Mastani.
