My Father Has No Problem With My Intimate Scenes: Alia Bhatt

Alia Cover Pic (1)The young and yuppie Alia Bhatt says she has no qualms about doing intimate scenes on screen, and feels her father too would have no objections to the same.

The vibrant and spunky young newbie Alia Bhatt, who made her acting debut in Karan Johar’s super hit, Student of The Year, nearly a year and a half ago, says her father will not have any problems with such scenes. Alia Bhatt, who is busy promoting her upcoming film 2 States, in which she stars opposite Arjun Kapoor, retorted that her father’s films are pretty bold and that he is an open-minded, liberal man, said Alia, who shares an intimate liplock and other bold scenes with Arjun in 2 States, “Have you seen my father’s films (as they are bold)? On screen I am not his daughter. I am an actor. I don’t think he will have any problem.”

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, 2 States is a cross-cultural love story, in which Alia Bhatt plays the role of a Tamilian, Ananya Swaminathan, while her co-star Arjun plays a Punjabi. Rumours have been doing the rounds that the two are in a relationship off-screen too, but Arjun recently denied that saying, “Why do you think this way? Alia and I are friends; we had great time working together.”

2 States is a Dharma Production, and releases on 18 April, 2014.
