MUMBAI: Filmfare has launched a special issue incorporating the winners of the Filmfare awards. We saw a gaggle of newbie Bollywood entrants at the unveiling of the Filmfare awards special issue cover at Hotel Novotel, here in Mumbai.

Rising stars Ayushmann Khurana, Ileana D’Cruz, Richa Chaddha and director Sujoy Ghosh were chosen to unveil the special issue cover, in order to promote new talent in Bollywood. Ayushmann looked dapper in a simple black suit, while Sujoy Ghosh (of ‘Kahaani’ fame) was a tad more casual in a black shirt and (we couldn’t believe it either!) baggy track pants. Aiming for a new style statement, Mr. Ghosh?

The ladies were suitably pretty in black; with ‘Barfi!’ star and acclaimed debutante Ileana D’Cruz choosing a stylish yet elegant black scoop-neck gown and a chunky necklace to match, while Richa Chadda (appreciated for her role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’) chose a demure but pretty black, white and grey dress. Tres chic!

The quartet were joined by Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai, who was beaming from ear-to-ear at the successful launch of his firm’s fabulous special issue.

Ayushmann Khurana was grateful to Filmfare, when he said, “I came to Mumbai to be an actor; and of course, I wanted to win a Filmfare… Thanks Filmfare for giving me two awards this year.”

Ileana D’Cruz also added: “It’s an honour to be here and to be recognized for your work is such a boost for you; it makes you believe that the hard work was really worth it.”
