Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli entered holy matrimony yesterday on December 11, 2017. Anushka and Virat or fondly called ‘Virushka’ are mesmerizing us by their oh-so-adorable pictures from their pre-wedding and wedding celebrations. Short videos from the venue made us feel like we were a part of their celebration! From short videos of Virat crooning for his bride-to-be, his haldi ceremony, their ring ceremony, their mehendi ceremony, Anushka walking towards the mandap where Virat received her and her vidaai ceremony; they all were so beautiful. But all this while we could not take our eyes off of Anushka Sharma’s wedding ring!
Reportedly, Virat took about three months to finally pick the wedding ring for his lady love. He chose a rare diamond that was crafted into a ring by an Austrian jewellery designer. We wonder what is it worth?
If sources are to be believed the cost of that ring is more than the rent of their wedding venue! One night at the heritage luxury resort Borgo Finocchieto cost the couple approximately about Rs 6,50,000 to Rs 14,00,000 per night. If believed the cost of the ring is as much as ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 1’s prize money! Still guessing?
The wedding ring that Virat gave his bride costs a whopping Rs 1 Crore!
Before their fairytale wedding, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli exchanged rings in presence of their family. Anushka was clad in red velvet saree and a necklace designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Whereas, Virat looked dapper in a blue three-piece suit.
Amidst all the speculations the couple chose to get married in Tuscany, away from the hustle and bustle of India. Anushka and Virat will host a reception for their family in Delhi on December 21st. As for their friends a grand party will be held in Mumbai on December 26th.
After their receptions, the couple will fly off to South Africa for their honeymoon. Later Virat will be concentrating on upcoming South Africa vs India series, whereas Anushka will be returning to Mumbai and resume working for Aanand L Rai’s untitled movie with Shah Rukh Khan.
