MUMBAI: Their last on-screen pairing was nothing short of disaster, in the dud ‘Agent Vinod’. Now however, husband-wife duo Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan seem to be warming up to the idea of appearing alongside each other for the former’s upcoming film.

Saif and Kareena have starred in several films together in the past, including ‘LOC Kargil’ (2003), ‘Omkara’ (where they were not paired opposite each other), ‘Tashan’ (2008), ‘Kurbaan’ (2009) and ‘Agent Vinod’ (2012), but strangely their chemistry on-screen has been quite disappointing.

Up until quite recently, Saif Ali Khan had said he had no intentions of sharing screen space again with his Begum Kareena, when he stated: “there are no such plans”.

Saif had even gone as far as to say, “I love seeing Kareena working with other heroes… And I look forward to working with other girls.” Kareena too had echoed Saif’s words, by saying: “I don’t think Saif believes that we’ll look good in a film together! He’s busy with his other leading ladies.”

This year, however, tables seem to have turned. With Kareena bagging Karan Johar’s untitled project opposite her alleged former lover Hrithik Roshan, equations have undergone a transformation. Sources suggest that Kareena would be a part of Saif’s upcoming home production, ‘Happy Ending’ (co-produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan).

Revealed a source close to Kareena: “Kareena has a special appearance. The makers are tight-lipped about it as they are still contemplating if she will do a significant scene, or just a song with Saif.”

Elaborating further, the source added: “The three-day shoot will take place in USA. They will keep the shoot closely guarded, as they don’t want any pictures leaking out.”
